To browse through items in the library, click a term under a category name (for example, under "Subject," click "Implant Design").

Refining a search

You can refine your search using the faceted search bar on the Search Results page (www.linkowlibrary.org/search-results-1, shown at right).

The faceted search bar lists four categories (Subject, Type of Material, Event Date, and Event Location). Click the category name to expand the lists of individual terms within each category.

The faceted search bar also contains a keyword search box.

Removing a keyword or category

The "Filters Applied" box at the upper left shows the keywords and/or categories that are used in your current search. To remove a keyword or category from your search, click the "x" next to the keyword or category name.

Refining by adding a keyword

To refine your search by adding another keyword, type the keyword in the box under "Keyword," and click "Add."

Refining your search by browsing

You may refine your search by clicking on a term within a category. For example, suppose you begin your search by choosing "Implant Design." If you want to narrow your search to only videos about Implant Design, you would click "Video" under "Type of Material."

Selecting multiple terms from a single category

If you select two terms within the same category (for example, selecting both "image" and "presentation slides" under "Type of material"), the search will return results that include both of the terms.

For example, suppose you start out by browsing images. If you then click "presentation slides," your search results will now include presentation slides in addition to images.
